The Power Of Words – Words Are Living Things

Words Create - Words Created The Universe and All There Is

Words Create - Words Created The Universe and All There Is

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and all there is with words. As I have mentioned in previous post Psalms 82:6 and John 10:34 God tells us that we are gods and children of God. In Ephesians 5:1 we are told to Be ye therefore followers or imitators of God, as dear children. To imitate means to reproduce someone’s behavior.

In John 1:1, Jesus Christ is called ho Logos, the Word presented as the Second Person of the Godhead who is the eternal expression of the divine intelligence and the disclosure of god’s divine essence. Word in Greek is logos, means intelligence which is information, as the expression of that intelligence, discourse, sayings, thing.

We don’t rightly understand the power of words. Words are not only a group of characters we call alphabets, words are also emotions and thoughts. Words can influence you into becoming a puppet that others can use. Words can force you to agree with the point of view of others, giving them what they want from you, doing what they are asking of you and purchasing what they are selling to you.

Words are things. All THINGS are created from spirit, and as I have said, words are things. Every time we speak a word there was a thought that elicited the production of that word. Your thoughts are 930,000 times faster than your speech; this is how your thoughts are putting words in your mouth. No words are produced without first being a thought. Inturn words can stimulate more thoughts in your subconscious mind, they can also stimulate emotions and actions.

The real power of words can help, inspire, encourage, and motivate us. The power of the word can also incite and divide, can calm and connect, or they can create and effect change. The Power of Words can change lives by making you feel good or feel bad about anything around you.

“Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Do you remember saying these words when you were a child. As we get older we to try and convince ourselves that this saying is true when painful words hurled our way. Regrettably, this is far from the truth. Science has demonstrated how verbal abuse, verbal insults, and the power of words can affect your emotions and actions.

In an experiment scientist found that by just hearing sentences concerning elderly people research subjects started to walk more slowly than usual. In another research study, subjects who read words of loving kindness showed increases in improved mood, reduced anxiety and self-compassion.

The power of words can affect our behavior. We all should pay more attention to the power of words when speaking to ourselves and to others. I can see the impact of the words I choose on the world around me. This makes me think about Elisha and the woman from Shunem. Her son had died and she didn’t even tell her husband about this. The woman only said what she knew in her heart was true, she obviously knew about the Power of Words.

When asked about her dead son the woman only replied “it is well”. She knew that when she got to the Man of God what she said would be manifest and it was. Her son came back to life. Read 2 Kings chapter 4.

By listening to your words and the words of others, you can hear who you are and who they really are. You can discover prejudices, unforgiveness, envy, strife and other negative energies that you didn’t know you or the other individual possessed. Your speech reveals your thoughts and beliefs.

We have to take caution to what we say; a word is like a living organism, capable of growing, spreading, changing and influencing the world around us in many ways, directly and indirectly through individuals speaking and writing.

Hebrews 4:12 tells us “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

The word quick means alive. All things alive are in God. We were created in the image and likeness of God, therefore the words we speak produce just as God’s words produced.

Your words can build up or tear down. In a previous article I wrote about the Law of Cause and Effect or some call Sowing and Reaping, the master law, what you cause for others will come back to you many times worse that what you afflicted on the other person.

Because of the power of words we need to be ever more cautious in what we say  to ourselves and to others and how we listen to the words around us whether written or spoken. Words creates!

Opportunity Is Here All The Time – It’s Everywhere!

Opportunity Is Everywhere

Opportunity Is Everywhere

I read this book for the first time several years ago and I have read it again two to three times since. It reminds me that opportunity is around me all the time, all I need is to stop, look and listen for it to speak to me.

Dr. Russell Herman Conwell was one of the most interesting Americans who ever lived. He was born in 1843 and died in 1925. He worked as a lawyer for about fifteen years and later became a minister.

Dr. Conwell wanted to help young people who wanted to go to college but didn’t have the money to go so he decided to build a college that allowed people who weren’t financially able to get a college education. Besides being a minister this became his goal in life.

He made a decision to build a university for those students who didn’t have the money to go to college but were deserving. To build a university Dr. Conwell would need to raise several million dollars. For Dr. Conwell, and anyone with real purpose in life, nothing could stand in the way of his goal.

Several years before he decided to build the university, Dr. Conwell was very fascinated by a true story he heard about a farmer who lived in South Africa. This was a story about a South African farmer who became very excited about looking for diamonds.

An abundance of diamonds had already been discovered on the African continent. This farmer had gotten so excited about finding millions of dollars worth of diamonds that he sold his farm to go out to the diamond mines.

The farmer roamed about all over the African continent for years searching for diamonds to no avail. Finally he gave up after becoming completely broke, he then hurled himself into a nearby river and drowned.

In the meantime, the person the farmer sold his farm to picked up an strange looking rock that was the size of an egg and put it on the mantle of his home as a sort of oddity. One day a visitor came by and when he saw the odd rock he became very excited.

The visitor said to the new owner of the farm that the odd looking rock there on his mantle was about the largest diamond that had been found to date. The new owner of the farm said to the visitor, “Heck, the whole farm is covered with them” – and sure enough it was.

This farm is know known as the Kimberly Diamond Mine…the richest diamond mine in the world. The original owner of the farm was literally standing on
“Acres of Diamonds”. He sold his dream away from under himself.

We all need to learn from the story of the farmer. Each of us are right in the middle of our own “Acre of Diamonds”, if only we would realize it and start developing the ground we are standing on before charging off in search of a greener pasture.

Dr. Conwell told this story long enough to have raised the money to start the college for underprivileged deserving students. As a matter of fact, he raised almost six million dollars and founded Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Temple University also has at least ten degree-granting colleges and six other schools attached to it.

As Dr. Russell Conwell talked about each of us being on our own “Acre of Diamonds“, he really meant it. This story does not get old, it will be true forever with its ageless moral.

Look around you find a need and provide the solution to the problem,  provide exceptional value, which is going the extra mile and set back and reap the benefits.

“Opportunity does not just come along – it is there all the time – we just have to see it.”                           Earl Nightingale

Law of Rhythm Part 2: A Universal Law- For Everything There Is A Time, A Season and A Purpose!

According to the Law Of Rhythm The Tide Comes In And Goes Out. "This Too Will Change"
According to the Law Of Rhythm The Tide Comes In And Goes Out… “This Too Will Change”

The Law of  Rhythm is an outstanding law that has been concealed behind nature. It is in conformity with this law that every thing is built and that every condition can be revealed.

The law of rhythm tells us that all energy in the universe moves like a pendulum. All things are forever in motion, swinging back and forth, in an organized pattern.

Having an understanding of how this law works will allow you to much better appreciate why things move the way they do. Occurances that may seem by chance to you are really happening in a very orderly pattern.

Not anything is by chance in this universe. We are always in a constant state of change. Our finances may be up one year, then down or not growing the following year. It’s like a pendulum that is swinging right, that will only swing all the way back to the left.

The tide will come in and then goes back out. Seasons come in and seasons go out. The economy will rise like a balloon, then explode into a recession. Everything in the universe is either growing or it is dying.

Are you able to see the cycles and patterns that we are all going through? If you think that you will be able to stay at a continual high potential in your life it is just an illusion. The Law of Rhythm can be summarized in one phrase: Everything in the universe is either growing or it’s dying.

Not anything new will be able to come into your life unless you create a space for it. You can see this occuring in nature often times in the flowers, the trees, and in the grasses as they begin to die before the winters snow, when spring comes around again they begin to grow.

Are you aware that a Buck’s antlers will fall off at the appropriate season? Their antlers will in reality die and will entirely fall off of their head. As the next season comes around, the Buck’s antlers will actually grow back, but this time they will have more points.

The law of rhythm likewise governs our health, economy, our relationships, and also our spirituality. The fundamental reason causing economies and people to advance through subsequent generations, is as one economy attains it’s peak (which is the top of its growth), then it explodes into an extreme low. At this extreme low, our only chance is the choice is to grow into a totally new beginning, a new economy.

Your advancement is a guarantee, or else this universe can not exist. Remember: everything is either growing or it’s dying.

With the Law of Rhythm the rise to success of great leaders can be predicted, likewise their fall to failure can also be predicted. Most great leaders have a sharp awareness for the laws of this universe.

If you don’t want to have failure in your life, always stay in rhythm with the laws of the universe. That which may appear to be failure to you is an opportunity for something new, great and exciting to happen in your life.

You can easily become great in your life by understanding and applying the Law of Rhythm. Let’s say that you’re at your peak in your health and fitness. Once you’re at your peak, you may see your health and fitness drop a little bit.

Don’t view this drop in your health as something being wrong with you, you may now be in a down swing, view this circumstance as a sign that you need to rest your body. Once you do this, by law, you have to grow to a better and higher state of potential.

Philippians 4:11  Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Everything changes, see what you want and allow the change to something you want in youur life.

Let’s take another example, We’ll suppose that you are putting a lot of effort in supplying service and providing value to all of your customers. According the law of rhythm, the same efforts have to come back to you in the form of an effect to your cause.

In other words you will get more value, which is usually in the form of money and more customers for giving exemplary service and value to others.

Upon gaining understanding of the Law of Rhythm huge pitfalls can be prevented in every area of your life. Understanding and implementing this law can also move you to great amounts of success.

When things in your life appear to be coming slowly and you’ve been planting seeds of success into your magnificent subconscious mind , this may be the right time for you to take massive action towards your success.

Your intuitive sense, which is one of your spiritual senses, will let you know when the perfect time has come. Remain “in tune” with the Law of Rhythm, knowing that this to shall pass, and become an observer of what’s going on in your life. Your intuitive sense will give you a signal to act, so that you can succeed.
